To capture the spirit and essence of the land, Linda makes offering and tracks the patterns of shadow and light. She honors traditional protocols of indigenous peoples, asking permission when at Sacred Sites, and sharing her imagery storytelling. The land chooses what will be revealed in each location, most frequently geographically remote places, but also more urban settings. An inner healing accompanies each photography, capturing the land’s unique essence, and fully bringing place to life. These interdimensional-relationships and approaches reveal an intimacy in her portraits, an approach Linda describes as “diktashoon.”

Animals
I've always been fascinated with animal photography,
but once my partner Maria taught me the yang-ai… silent calling way of her family… interpersonal time with bison, bear and birds of prey such as red tailed hawks, great horned owls and other wildlife demanded to have their picture taken! |
